Residential proxies with AdsPower
AdsPower runs separate browser profiles, which agencies use to keep each client or brand account in its own environment. Adding a NodeLighthouse sticky proxy to each profile gives every profile its own residential IP in the country you choose.
Your username and password are on the Proxy generator page after you sign in. Host gw.nodelighthouse.com: port 9000 rotating, 10000 sticky, 11000 SOCKS5.
Generate one sticky proxy per profile
Open the Proxy generator, choose sticky, pick the country (and state or city if you need one), and set the quantity to the number of profiles. Each line gets its own session, so each profile gets its own IP. Use a long lifetime; the maximum is 1440 minutes (24 hours).
A generated sticky line in host:port:user:pass format looks like this:
gw.nodelighthouse.com:10000:<USERNAME>-type-residential-country-us-lifetime-1440-session-prof0001:<PASSWORD>Add the proxy to the profile
Create or edit a profile and open the profile's proxy settings. Choose a custom HTTP proxy and fill in the fields from one line:
- Type: HTTP
- Host: gw.nodelighthouse.com
- Port: 10000
- Username: the full username from the line, including -type-residential and the session
- Password: your password, exactly as shown on the generator page
Check the connection
Use the proxy check in the profile settings if it is offered, or open the profile and visit https://api.ipify.org. Let the profile's timezone, language and location follow the proxy IP where the setting allows, so they match the country you targeted.
Keep one line per profile
Don't share a line between profiles; give each one its own session id so its IP stays separate. If a profile's IP changes because its session expired or the residential device went offline, the profile keeps working through the same line with a new IP. Use AdsPower and every platform you log into within their terms of service.
Questions
- Should I use HTTP or SOCKS5 in AdsPower?
- HTTP on port 10000. That is the port that holds a sticky session, which is what keeps a profile's IP stable. SOCKS5 on port 11000 is available for tools that need it.
- How long does a profile keep the same IP?
- Up to the lifetime set in the username, at most 1440 minutes. A session can change earlier if the residential device behind it goes offline. To keep an IP for a later day, reuse the same line.
- What does it cost to run many profiles?
- You pay a flat $1.65 per GB of traffic, with no per-IP or per-profile charge, and state and city targeting are included. See pricing.
